Community Relations

Valley Building Materials plays an active role in the social fabric of the community. Each year the company hosts a Charity Golf Tournament which in the nine years since its inception has raised and distributed over $300,000.00. Organizations benefiting from this activity have included:

Home Aid of Orange County
Provides housing and services to the homeless population of Orange County living with HIV/AIDS. This year's Charity Golf Tournament will be held October 10^th, 2005. As part of the event an auction of donated items and services is held.

Along with the golf tournament, Valley Building Materials participates in the HomeAid of Orange County's Project Playhouse. This is a nine-week event consisting of elaborate kid-size playhouses on display and auctioned to the highest bidder.

Operation Santa Claus of Orange County
This group provides Christmas gifts to children who might otherwise not experience the joy of the season. Recipients are in foster care or residing at the Orangewood Foundation home in Orange County, California.
The Byron Scott Foundation
This group of charities, created by the former Los Angeles Laker's star, focuses its efforts towards families that have been disrupted by spousal abuse.
